He's Alive!

My friends, death could not hold Jesus-Christ in the grave neither could the nails hold him on the Cross. But love held him there for you and for me.

You see, death, our enemy, could not keep hold of Jesus-Christ because He is the Lord and has authority over all things, including death itself.  Jesus lay down his life in my place and in your place so you and I don’t have to die this horrible death and then face the judgment of God.

In John chapter 10, before he died, Jesus said “I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again”.

 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16

Isaiah chapter 53 says “But he (Jesus), was pierced for our transgressions,
       he was crushed for our iniquities;
       the punishment that brought us peace was upon him,
       and by his wounds we are healed”.

Jesus came to earth so we might go to heaven. Jesus was born of a virgin that we might be born again. Jesus became the son of man that we might become the sons and daughter of God. Jesus died, that we might live. Now friends, sing along to Jesus.
