The Cross

What's with the Cross?

The book of Isaiah that is especially famous for its 53rd chapter is one of the records that we, the evangelical

Christians consider during Easter, the greatest feast day that all Christians around the world celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. This book was written between 740-680 B.C. in which Isaiah, the prophet, moved by the Holy Spirit of God wrote in details who Jesus Christ is and how he would die to save us, mankind. Notice how many years have gone by before that actually took place, more than 700 years. My friend, the Cross is not a fairy tale. The Cross of Jesus Christ is all that matters. Therefore, we need not be ashamed of it.

To this day, I still hear people refer to Jesus Christ as “the baby Jesus of Christmas" who lay in the manger helpless and defenseless just like an ordinary child. Yes my friend, in that Holy night Jesus Christ, the King, the Son of God was born. However, I want you to know and understand that Jesus Christ was not an ordinary child by any means. Jesus Christ is God. I know it is hard for some people to accept, but the truth is the Bible is very clear about who Jesus is, and the claims and deeds of Jesus speak for themselves. They stand alone.

It is amazing how people remember Jesus Christ as a baby and completely ignore him as the King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus Christ is the conqueror of death, died to give us life.  As Easter is approaching, Christians around the world are preparing to celebrate that special day when Christ died on the Cross to set you and I free from the power of sin, (which separates us from God), and made it possible for All to come to God. My friends Christ died so we might have life, so don't let this Easter goes by without making a decision. I pray that you choose Christ.

In 1707, Isaac Watts wrote this famous song At the Cross which I think is appropriate not only for the Easter season, but rather it a reminder for all of our days.

Isaiah, the prophet explains vividly what would happen to the Christ. Read the 53rd chapter of Isaiah .

Jesus is not dead. He is alive.
